Evidence of NON/PRESENCE
Galeria Geppart ASP Wrocław
Księcia Witolda 68/2
50-203 Wrocław
We cordially invite you to the Geppart ASP Wroclaw Gallery on July 4, 2024 to the opening of the exhibition, which is part of an international scientific and artistic event.
During the opening there will be a performance by Maria Bitka and Nati Krawtz.
This international scientific and artistic event consists of two complementary exhibitions: Evidence of PRESENCE at the Struga Palace in Struga and Evidence of NON/PRESENCE | Evidence of ABSENCE at the Geppart ASP Wroclaw Gallery.
The aim of the event is a research and artistic confrontation and a critical diagnosis of the contemporary approach to artistic practice - in a world where, in addition to material contact with a creative work, we are witnesses and participants of the dematerialization of the object of art. By organizing this event, we are trying to capture the moment of penetration of existing artistic media and the generation of new solutions and challenges resulting from the use of rapidly developing technology, e.g. 3D or AI.
From the perspective of artist-scientists and a research center in Poland (The Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wroclaw), we would like to compare the experience of artist-researchers from other academic centers in Poland and abroad and independent creators who experience the risk of new technical possibilities in their artistic practice; in a thoughtful way, reaching deeper meanings.

The work was carried out as part of the study of art accessibility tools at the Department of Art Mediation at The Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wroclaw, under the supervision of Lilianna Leń.
Audio description consultation by the Chance Foundation – The Are Together.
