MFA in Visual Arts

The MFA in Visual Arts is a two-year (four-semester), full-time interdisciplinary Master's programme on a fee-paying basis, conducted entirely in English. Designed for graduates of first-cycle or equivalent art and design studies, the programme is delivered by all faculties of the Academy and allows students to shape an individual educational path aligned with their artistic goals.
The curriculum combines compulsory theoretical courses with studio-based practice. Core subjects include:
-
Selected Issues of Contemporary Art
-
Aesthetics / Theory of Art
-
Analysis and Interpretation of an Artwork
-

These mandatory courses (240 hours) provide a solid conceptual and critical framework for developing independent artistic work.
The Major-Oriented Curriculum (1275 hours) focuses on specialisation and studio work. Students select classes and diploma-awarding studios from a wide and annually updated offer across all five faculties:
-
Faculty of Interior Architecture, Design and Stage Design
