We cordially invite you to our first event related to the NON/PRESENCE, or about the DESUBLIMATION OF ART – an international scientific and artistic event consisting of two complementary exhibitions: Evidence of PRESENCE at the Struga Palace in Struga and Evidence of ABSENCE at the Geppart Gallery ASP Wroclaw of the Academy of Art and Design in Wroclaw, Poland.
09–23/06/2024
Evidence of PRESENCE
Struga Palace in Struga (3 Wiejska St., 58-311 Struga, Stare Bogaczowice, Lower Silesia, Poland)
04–27/07/2024
Evidence of ABSENCE / NON/PRESENCE
Galeria Geppart ASP Wroclaw (68/2 Księcia Witolda St., 50-203 Wrocław, Poland)
The aim of the event is a research and artistic confrontation and a critical diagnosis of the contemporary approach to artistic practice - in a world where, in addition to material contact with a creative work, we are witnesses and participants of the dematerialization of the object of art. By organizing this event, we are trying to capture the moment of penetration of existing artistic media and the generation of new solutions and challenges resulting from the use of rapidly developing technology, e.g. 3D or AI.
From the perspective of artist-scientists and a research center in Poland (The Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wroclaw), we would like to compare the experience of artist-researchers from other academic centers in Poland and abroad and independent creators who experience the risk of new technical possibilities in their artistic practice; in a thoughtful way, reaching deeper meanings.
