New School fashion workshops- apply!
Art & Fashion Forum is the 8th edition of an event initiated by Grażyna Kulczyk, which is organised in Stary Browar in Poznań every year since 2007. Until last year under the name of Art & Fashion Festival, it gained a reputation of an open platform of inspiration and education. It became a mine of knowledge of fashion and innovations, the place of inspiring encounters and workshops with notable specialists from around the world.
The motto of this year's 8th edition of AFF is CHIC GEEK. As written in Forbes, it is "an event popularising everything lying on the edge of technology and design". In October, some world renowned experts from these fields will come to Poznań to lead many engaging meetings combining fashion and tech. Beside the reoccurring elements, such as the workshops, the exhibition or the award ceremony, this year's AFF will be holding the Global Fashion Battle. After a series of startup battles organised in the global fashion capitals by AFF and Startup Weekend, the grand finale will take place in Poznań, in Stary Browar.
Apart from that, also the New Market trade show will take place during the Forum. Seeking for modern fashion and technology, it will bring together emerging brands from Central and Eastern Europe. The curator of the whole event is Bradford Shelhammer – designer, innovative entrepreneurship, founder of the most successful design store in the world fab.com, and the icon of a synergy between 'chic' and 'geek'.
