Visual Arguments
Jakub Jernajczyk's monograph "Visual Arguments" was published just before the Christmas break.
The book presents the artist's works created over the last 16 years, the vast majority of which refer to scientific issues, mainly mathematical and philosophical. In addition to rich documentation and detailed descriptions of Jernajczyk's works, the book also includes commentaries and theoretical texts on the relationship between art and science and the cognitive role of images, written by specialists representing various fields and scientific disciplines. Our Academy's honorary doctor, Zbigniew Rybczyński, wrote the foreword to the book. The publication's reviewers are Prof. Piotr Zawojski (University of Silesia) and Dr. Hab. Ksawery Kaliski (ASP Katowice).
The volume in digital form can be found in the ASP's Publishing Repository (at the bottom of the page)
The book was published as the second volume of the ASP in Wrocław publishing series "Exercises in Seeing," which emphasizes the cognitive dimension of art.
