University of Fine Arts in Istanbul 2026 / Monika Aleksandrowicz, PhD and Małgorzata Kaczmarska, Assoc. Professor

At the beginning of May 2026, representatives of the Department of Art Mediation, Monika Aleksandrowicz, PhD and Małgorzata Kaczmarska, Assoc. Professor, had the opportunity to present the Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław and conduct workshops at the Faculty of Communication at the Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts in Istanbul, thanks to an Erasmus+ collaboration with the Department of Graphic Design at the Turkish university.

They were warmly welcomed by Graphic Design professors: Selen Başer Nejat, Ebru Üstüner, Evrim Kavcar, and Sinan Niyazioğlu. Both the professors and students were very interested in the educational opportunities at the Wrocław Academy, and it was the Art Mediation program that made the meeting possible. Therefore, our university's presentation included a detailed discussion of the specifics of the Art Mediation Department, and the workshops were based on the models and experience developed within this still avant-garde department.

Students from the Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts in Istanbul, like the youth of Wrocław, proved to be very open, creative, and hardworking. Let's hope that some of them will come to Wrocław to study, perhaps also at the Doctoral School.
