The SGC International Nominating Committee announced the 2020-22 International Executive Board, with prof. A. Janik as International Representative. Prof Janik has been also invited to INTERNATIONAL HONORARY ADVISORY BOARD of Fundación´ace para el Arte Contemporáneo.
Voting of SGCI members took place online between 15th and 17 th April 2020 and the results were announced on the 20th April.

Fundación´ace para el Arte Contemporáneo is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to encourage all kinds of initiatives and activities related to contemporary art, being them educational, artistic or social. The foundation looks forward the professional development of artists. By promoting the generation of ideas and innovative practices and international cultural exchange together with community development initiatives, it aims to the development of values through art. ´ace activities serve as bridges linking foreign artists with artists from Argentine and all of them with the urban and social weave of the city of Buenos Aires, one of Latin America more vibrant cultural centers. Proyecto´ace´ Artist-in-Residence International Program is one of the major projects developed by the foundation. The program aims to promote contemporary expanded artistic practices that use printmaking, photography, design and new media; exploring their mutual hybridization through research and production residencies, promoting the exchange, discussion, experimentation and collaborative work. Transiting its 15th anniversary, the program has become a milestone in Latin America, relevant for members of the international artistic community coming from all backgrounds and disciplines, who come to work with us from different corners of the world. We understand collaborative work as a hallmark of our programs. This manifest itself in how we interact professionally with other cultural agents and how we build an exchange of affection with participating residents. The building of a community and its high-level professionalism make this program remarkably unique.

Aleksandra Janik, PhD (1971) curator, printmaker and photographer, head of the Studio of Digital and Experimental Printmaking, Vice-Rector for Arts, Research and Foreign Cooperation at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wroclaw, Poland.
Fields of interests and research subjects: Post-digital Printmaking / Experimental Printmaking / Hybrid Printmaking, aiming at artistic activities and the development of theoretical material; an attempt to present a new classification and re-definition of printmaking; transgression printmaking – photography; formal experiments in combining classical printing techniques with digital printing, with the third dimension – installation-based printmaking, object-oriented printmaking, performative printmaking; formal experiments connected with digital printing on special substrates and attempts to use commercial technology (laser, UV print, lenticular print, hydrographic) in printmaking.
