SUPERVISOR
ac. prof. Ireneusz Olszewski
OBJECTIVE
The objective is to gain competence in the field of Media Art in understanding the specificity of intermedia activities, the ability to work in a team and build relationships with different artistic entities. In the Studio of Intermedia Activities we combine the latest media phenomena in art with the visual tradition, experimental and conceptual attitudes and sustained reflection on everyday life. Creative practices include various technologies: video, film, analogue film on photosensitive tape, animation, digital animation, compositing, installations, performance, classical arts using time, movement and space. The studio is oriented towards "creative" activities, which assume the exploration of the processes and phenomena of contemporary artistic activities. We teach future artists universal methods of using an artistic workshop, transforming various techniques and styles, we support independent thinking and exploration. Experimental studio practices are used to discover new ways of self-expression and pursue creative attitudes, artistic aspirations and acquisition of contemporary meta-artistic awareness.
