Characteristic of the projects and research in which the PhD student is to be subsumed
The research that I am currently conducting concerns the area of kinetic art. As understood by me, it is based on the synergy of art, experience and technical intuition. I am also interested in the relationship between "pure" art and design. In order for an artistic kinetic object to remain in motion reliably, it is necessary to comply with many strict rules. Project experience and a methodical approach ensure success to a large extent.
Visual arts have also repeatedly been a reference to the issues of learning and understanding the world, translating (or trying to translate) scientific or philosophical issues into a specific language of forms, colors, rhythms, textures, and also movement.
I expect from the doctoral student skills and experience in the field of artistic activities, as well as curiosity about design issues.
Characteristic of didactic cooperation between the supervisor and the PhD student:
I would expect a PhD student to become involved, to some extent, in the activities of the Kinetic Design Studio at the Department of Design. I would also like a doctoral student to prepare and conduct a half-semester course at the Master's degree studies.
