A 5-day workshop with a visiting artist took place on 25,26 and 29-31 March 2021.
Due to covid restrictions the class was delivered remotely.
The RE-PLACE series was an interdisciplinary course for second year MFA in Visual Arts students, focused on developing proficiency in the language of contemporary art, with particular emphasis on the areas of site-specifcity, local identity and landscape theory, relating to the concept of 'place' by extending students' pre-existing range of techniques and concepts towards developing and maintaining a unique artistic practice.
A virtual 'visit' by foreign artist Elizabeth Gerdeman, was funded by the project: "Internationalization of education, a competent teaching staff and modern management as a guarantee of quality and international presence of the Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław" co-financed by the European Social Fund.
You can see selected effects of students' works in the gallery.
